THERMOPAK® TADPOLE GASKET INSULATION
THERMOPAK® Tadpole Gasket is a high-temperature insulation tape developed by combining a cover material with an inner core (bulb) material in a configuration most suitable for your application. Using a bulb and tail design, the tadpole gasket ensures optimum sealing performance and can be manufactured to address issues such as abrasion resistance, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance.
Our vertical integration gives us the opportunity to produce THERMOPAK® Tadpole Gasket from the materials that are best suited to your application. Cover materials for this insulation tape range from woven fiberglass or silica fabrics, to coated fabrics coated with silicone rubber or refractory coatings.
Core materials can include rubber materials such as neoprene or silicone for maximum density, or Inconel or stainless steel core for tadpole tapes that require less density.
Typical sealing applications THERMOPAK® Tadpole Gasket insulation tape include oven and furnace doors, boilers, expansion joints, heat shield components, and ductwork. In addition to fabricated tadpole gaskets, Mid-Mountain offers HYTEX® Woven Tadpole Gaskets, manufactured from E-glass yarn and typically used for appliance sealing applications.
