Mid-Mountain has a broad range of products designed for use as seals and thermal barriers in high-temperature applications, including tadpole gaskets, die-cut gaskets, coated textiles and fabricated components.
THERMOPAK® Fabricated and Engineered Components are manufactured specific to your application, and can be made from a broad range of high-temperature resistant materials including coated fabrics, silica fabrics, knit stainless steel or inconel mesh and rope, and thermal insulation mats and blankets. In addition to withstanding high temperatures, our products also offer durability, as well as resistance to chemical attack and abrasion. Many THERMOPAK® Fabricated and Engineered Components are used as oven and furnace door seals, engine seals, door and hatch seals, and bag house fume seals.
ARMATEX® Refractory Coated Fabrics and Textiles are especially effective for use as a seal or thermal barrier in high-temperature applications. Q-Mix, our proprietary refractory coating, can be applied to a variety of substrates, which greatly increases the temperature resistance, as well as the chemical and abrasion resistance of the substrate. In addition to ARMATEX® Q products, Mid-Mountain offers a full line of fabrics and textiles coated with various polymer coatings that offer excellent thermal insulating properties, and can be used in fabricated components for specialty seals.
THERMOSEAL® Refractory Cements, Moldables and Coatings are formulated from refractory bulk fibers and are excellent for use as high temperature insulation for sealing applications including trough coatings and linings for molten aluminum transfer, high-temperature patching and sealing of refractory and furnace linings, coatings for furnace linings, troughs, burners and molds, and adhering gaskets or fabricated parts in high temperature environments.
THERMOPAK® Die Cut Gaskets can be produced from a variety of high-temperature insulation products including fiberglass paper, silicone coated fabrics, ceramic fiber paper, or refractory coated fabrics. Mid-Mountain has the capability to die-cut gaskets in a range of sizes and thicknesses, and engineers die-cut gaskets unique to your application.
THERMOPAK® Tadpole Gasketing is designed for use in high-temperature applications requiring maximum flexibility and sealing properties. Mid-Mountain utilizes a variety of high-temperature resistant materials including fiberglass, stainless steel mesh, refractory coated fabrics, and refractory ceramic fiber textiles to address the specific requirements of your application. Applications for THERMOPAK® Tadpole Gaskets include seals for gas fireplaces, emissions control equipment, fume control seals, furnace door seals, and seals for use in non-ferrous metals operations.
