Mid-Mountain’s Coating Division is the leading provider of precision knife over roll and dip coating technologies used in the manufacturing of advanced high performance coated fabrics. These products are integral components of invaluable industry tools such as industrial ducting and hose materials, noise control barriers and composites, tenting, belting and balloon, automotive & construction, transportation & sports, gasket & food processing, aerospace and industrial glove materials.

Mid-Mountain manufactures and supply very high performance fabrics made from some of the most advanced fibers, specialized weaves, blends and coatings and deliver not only superior  heat protection but outstanding molten metal and burn protection with great flexibility and comfort. These high performance fabrics are used extensively in the fire service, but are also great for industrial & chemical resistant protective apparel and gloves.

Mid-Mountain is proud to be involved in the development of the Supersonic Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator (SIAD-E) for future Mars landing missions.  The SIAD-E is an airbag designed to generate a significant increase in drag as the Mars Lander makes its approach for landing, and to provide a cushion upon touchdown.

In working with a global robotic protection company, Mid-Mountain has developed a flexible and durable coated fabric for use as robotic protection covers for use in high-heat environments such as foundry, forge and climatic chambers.   Robotic protection covers reduce cleaning and maintenance costs, and improve the life of the robotics by preventing contamination from dust, dirt and other contaminants.
