THERMOPAK^® Tadpole Tapes are a complete line of bulb gasketing products that provide a low pressure gas seal suitable for high temperature uses.  By incorporating a wide variety of core and cover materials, Mid-Mountain can create a unique seal specifically designed for the demands of your application.  The unique "bulb" and "tail" construction of THERMOPAK^® Tadpole Tapes allow conformity to uneven mating surfaces or joints where flat packings or flat tapes are unsuitable. 

The concept of using a bulb-style gasketing in the Hearth Products Industry was pioneered by Mid-Mountain over 30 years ago, conceptualized from designs of gasketing used in industrial heater and furnace applications.   In addition, Mid-Mountain introduced the use of foil-backed fabrics for cover materials to insure optimum sealing while still providing the high thermal protection requirements.

THERMOPAK^® Tadpole Tapes, comprised from materials such as our CERMEX^® Thermal Insulation Materials, HYTEX^® High Performance Textiles, and SILTEX^® Silica Textiles are available in a variety of configurations and can be coated with our ARMATEX^® line of coatings and applied with pressure-sensitive adhesive.
